Due to the size of the embroidery and complexity of the 3D effect, this was done on the cut piece. We laid the panel flat, embroidered, then joined with the other panels to create the bodice.
In order to execute the hood 3D embroidery, we had to make the hood a 2-piece hood that could lay flat, which was then embroidered and then finally attached to the bodice.
To execute this 16" 3D embroidery, a similar process of embroidering on the cut piece then sewing later was used for this piece.
